End of support for Windows 10: What it means for your IT

Windows 10 Support-Ende

End of support for Windows 10

On 14 October 2025, support for Windows 10 will end and Microsoft will no longer provide free software and security updates or technical support.

This could result in new programs and devices not working properly.

We recommend moving to Windows 11 early to ensure the security, stability and future-proofing of your IT.

What are the risks of not updating?

  • Security risks: Without regular updates, known security vulnerabilities cannot be effectively closed. This significantly increases the risk of viruses, crypto lockers, trojans, malware and other threats.
  • Lack of software support and compatibility issues: Many manufacturers of industry software and specialised devices optimise their products specifically for newer versions of Windows. This can lead to modern applications becoming increasingly buggy or failing to run properly on Windows 10. This includes accounting software, legal programs or medical systems.
  • No further development: Windows 10 will no longer receive new features or improvements. This means that not only will you miss out on modern security standards, but also on higher system performance and optimised efficiency.
lass=”yoast-text-mark” />>Higher maintenance costs: IT service providers will need to manually back up outdated systems, which can lead to increased maintenance and support costs.
